• ECE 22.06 approval: for the new ECE 22.06 standard, the SM5 achieves a regular speed impact rating 44% better compared to the current figure of 33%, in addition to a 32% better score in low-speed linear impact, and 31% better in high-speed linear impact than the current standard.
• Multi-density inner lining: ensures the correct density in the right area to enhance impact absorption.
• Redesigned chin bar: the new chin bar profile features a specifically sculpted base to create a raised relief zone that clears the collarbone, along with a new, softer EPS liner extending beyond the helmet shell itself and covered by a more flexible rubber compound to reduce the likelihood of collarbone injury.
• Ventilation system: maximizes ventilation and offers high levels of heat exchange thanks to multiple intake vents and exhaust ports.
• Lightweight construction: the ECE version of the SM5 helmet weighs 1,350 grams in medium size, and 1,420 grams in the ECE/DOT version with visor.
• Visor design: has been engineered to direct air to the ports and improve airflow.
• Available versions: the SM5 is available in 2 versions, ECE R 22.06 and ECE R 22.06/DOT.
